Annually, 40-50% of Analy graduates go directly to 4-year colleges, despite the incentive of SRJC's unique and generous Doyle Scholarship Program.

Students in California who meet the entrance requirements for the UC/CSU have access to one of the finest systems of public higher education in the world!

All Analy students begin ninth grade on a college preparatory pathway. Over the course of their first three years at Analy, we introduce them to the subject requirements for college entrance and also encourage them to take the PSAT in sophomore and junior years to get a taste of a practice SAT . Counselors meet individually with students who have taken the PSAT in January/February to review areas of strength and weakness as well as test taking skills. We also have an evening for parents where we go over PSAT interpretation. It is generally recommended that our students first take the real SAT or ACT in the spring of their junior year.

College search intensifies in the spring of the junior year. However, we encourage the parents of students with college aspirations to visit colleges whenever and wherever they travel during the high school years.

Students apply to college in the fall of senior year. The financial aid process and scholarship applications intensify afterwards, with parents usually filing the FAFSA (Federal application for student aid) after January 1st of the senior year. Colleges will usually notify students of their admissions status by April 1st and students are expected to make a commitment to a college/university by May 1st.

We host college search orientation and information evenings in March for parents of juniors and in October for parents of seniors. We also host an evening on the FAFSA in January of senior year .
