| Analy XC Turkey Scramble |
Thanksgiving DayWith terrific weather and running conditions, Analy hosted the 2nd Annual Turkey Scramble as a team fundrasier and community charity run for the CERES Project. With entries doubling on Thanksgiving morning, amidst the organized chaos, the team hosted some 65 runners and families of all ages. With donations from several local businesses including Round Table Pizza, Copperfields, Ace Hardware, Baskin Robbins, Safeway, Sports Authority, Peoples Music, and others that formed the prizes for best waddles and costumes, fun was had by all. After costs for t-shirts and snacks, the team netted more than $1200 of which $300 will go the CERES project and the remainder towards new team jerseys and XC summer camp (Aug. 6-9, 2013) scholarships. A few photos to the right & run results here. TURKEY SCRAMBLE T-Shirts can be PICKED UP at the ANALY MAIN Office from Sandra Jones after next Tuesday (11/27) afternoon. |
