1 year; 10 credits; Grade 10- 11

Pre-requisites: Students will be placed by the Analy High School Math Department using a rubric that includes standardized test scores, past performance in Mathematics, and teacher recommendation. Students may be required to take an independent diagnostic examination.

This course is designed to be the second year of the accelerated program. The honors course is more rigorous, covers the concepts of the regular course in more depth, has much less review of Algebra 1, is faster paced, and presents additional advanced algebra topics. Algebra 2A is a very rigorous class for students who excel in math and look forward to advanced and honors math classes.
