This is a project based learning course for students
who may be interested in pursuing a career in video, media and/or communications.
This course introduces students to digital filmmaking using a series
of video assignments that feature different topics and video production
skills. Students use digital cameras and work in teams to create video
stories. Also covered are digital non-linear editing, pre production
planning techniques and multi media applications. Students create a
variety of video projects. The class is focused primarily on group projects
and is project-based learning. Communications technologies, job application
skills and careers in media are also covered. Guest speakers may include
video professionals.
